Since leaving school I spent the first 16 years of my working life in retail. I then took a career break and went to college as an adult student to study holistic studies anatomy and physiology and beauty therapy NVQ level 2, it was during my studies that I required a job which allowed me to work and study at the same time and this is how I started in care, firstly working with Sedgemoor college specialist care girls unit & then onto working with Adults with learning disabilities , firstly in the private sector and then with Somerset County Council, both in the adults Sector and the children’s sector.

I joined Green Days daycare in August 2016 as a relief support worker and then taking a permanent contract with them in May 2017

I enjoy walking, especially with my Dog, Buster the Springer Spaniel. I love listening to music from all different genres, especially blues Rock, country and folk & I enjoy socialising & watching live bands. I am a massive motorsports fan I grew up watching motorcycling, Rally driving and F1 racing. I am also a keen amateur bird watcher (Birder)

My favourite session at Green Days Day Care is our fortnightly visit to The Minehead Eye, there is so much to do here and no two sessions are ever the same, lots of singing and dancing a chance to play rockstar and make your own music. Getting to grips with the climbing wall. Or enjoying a lovely scenic walk around the harbour and beach, there is always so much to see and do its great fun for everyone, staff and service users included.
